Kingston Police are advising residents to take extra precautions while shopping this holiday season following a noticeable increase in thefts from motor vehicles. Investigations indicate many of these incidents involve packages and personal items left visible inside parked vehicles.
On December 14 at approximately 5:23pm, members of the Kingston Police had just completed a call and were parked in the area of Venture Drive and Resource Road when they observed a vehicle travelling down the road at a high-rate speed, that then crashed into a snowbank and guard rail.
On December 15, 2025, at approximately 10:15 a.m. members of the Kingston Police responded to a report of a break and enter in progress in the area of Alfred Crescent and Barbara Avenue.
On December 12, 2025 at approximately 3:20pm members of the Kingston Police CORE Unit assisted by the Uniform Patrol Division observed a vehicle with a recognized suspended driver occupying the driver's seat.
On December 8, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m. a citizen in the area Beverly Street and Union Street observed two suspects actively stealing parcels from the porches of residences.
On December 8, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a report of a single vehicle collision in the 200 block of Brock Street.
Kingston Police Community Volunteers will be out in the community this Saturday, December 13, in the downtown core educating business owners on CAMSafe.
On December 7, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division were conducting proactive patrol when they observed a vehicle, with one inoperable headlight, travelling in the area of Patrick Street and Stephen Street.
