    On January 13, 2025, at approximately 10:15 p.m. a citizen, who resides on Montreal Street near Highway 401, contacted the Kingston Police after locating an unknown male victim on their front porch. The victim was covered in blood and bleeding profusely from the head.

    On January 9, 2025, before family, friends, colleagues, board members and The Honourable Gary W. Tranmer, The Kingston Police welcomed new Deputy Chief Scott Gee during his official swearing in ceremony.

  • Polar Plunge Returns to Kingston

    In partnership with the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run (OLETR), the Kingston Police will be hosting the 2024 Kingston Polar Plunge at Confederation Place Hotel, 237 Ontario St, on Sunday, February 9, 2025 to raise awareness and funds for the athletes and families of Special Olympics Ontario. This non-profit organization helps provide quality sports and training programs for children, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities that are only possible through the generous donations that are raised at events such as the Polar Plunge. 

  • Assault at local bar leads to arrest

    On Saturday January 11, 2025, at approximately 10:05 p.m. members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at an establishment located in the area of Princess Street and Bayridge Drive. 

  • Grenade found in scrap metal container

    On January 11, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m. employees at a local waste management facility were sorting items in a scrap metal disposal container when they located what they believed to be a grenade.
