Online Police Report

Online reporting provides a convenient way to report certain types of incidents. Online reports are NOT monitored 24/7. 

There are a number of different incident types that can be entered online. If the incident you are reporting has a known suspect, you should instead call us.

What you can report online is listed below.  You can also enter data in our Vulnerable Persons Registration/Update/Cancellation section.

File an Online Report

Requirements for online reporting:

  • The incident occurred in Kingston.
  • The report must be filed by the owner of the involved property or by an authorized representative.
  • You must provide a valid email address.
  • You will receive an email copy of the police report including the case number.

NOTE: You can add more information to a previously filed report by clicking the button below and then selecting the original type, and then Supplemental Report. 

Do not file an online report if:

  • It is an emergency and you need immediate police assistance.
  • It is happening right now.
  • You know the name or address of the suspect(s) involved.
  • You know the licence plate of the vehicle associated to the suspect.
  • It is a Break and Enter.
  • It occurred outside of Kingston city limits or on Highway 401 (please contact the police department for that municipality or the OPP)
